HP Printer Cuts off Bottom of page

by getdeclue on May 10, 2012

There is a problem with some HP printers and drivers that causes the bottom of the page to be cut off when you print. No matter what you do with changing the margins the printer will always cut off the bottom of the page. There are possible solutions to fix this problem listed below.

  1. Delete the printer and re-add it
  2. Disable Bidirectional printing support by opening up the printer properties click ports and then uncheck bidirectional printer support.
  3. If you are sharing this printer from another computer or server you should also login and disable the bidrectional printer support their.

This was tested with an HP Officejet Pro 8000 connected to a network and installed on a server with the HP generic driver.
