Charge your iPhone faster

by getdeclue on November 8, 2012

I see iPhone users carrying chargers all the time, at the airport, at a wedding reception. Not having the ability to change the battery means they must seek out an outlet when the battery gets low.

There are a couple ways to have your iPhone charge faster when you don’t have the time to wait.

  1. Turn the display off while it was connected to the charger (one iPhone user today had no idea they could turn off the display while it was plugged in and continue to charge)
  2. Turn the device completely off. (hold the power button down until the slide to power off shows up on the screen). The drawback to this approach is the device is not usable while it is off and some may turn back on when you plug them into the charger.
  3. Turn airplane mode on. This will turn off WiFi  Bluetooth and the cellular radio. You won’t be able to send or receive phone calls but your device will charge a lot faster.
  4. Turn the screen brightness all the way down.
  5. Turn off wireless sync
  6. Turn off your devices GPS
  7. Turn off Bluetooth and WiFi
