After launching Bernie’s Typing Travels the error “The main data folder does not allow writing” shows up if the user is not an administrator of the machine or if the program was installed by a different user.
To fix this Open the program once as an administrator, accept the user agreement and then click English and click quit.
Navigate to the windows folder and grant rights to the default data folder path is: C:\WINDOWS\Bernie data grant either the user full control of the folder and apply this to all child objects in the folder.
